WASHINGTON, United States — Boeing and its striking Seattle-area workers have reached a tentative deal to end a more than month-long stoppage, the union said Saturday.

Regine Velasquez is open to returning to acting as long as the material is “right” for her, with preference to comedy and light drama genres.

Velasquez said she’s more open to an acting comeback during a press conference for her upcoming “Reset” concert in Makati when asked if there’s a chance she will act again.

“Mas open ako ngayon. Iniisip ko, if there is an offer, if the role is right, if the role is good, I will surely think about it. Kasi parang ang tagal na rin. Parang five or six years na rin akong hindi umaarte. Although maarte lang talaga ako,” she said in jest.

“But as far as acting is concerned, again, if there is a right role, yes, I will consider [it],” she continued.

(I’m more open now. For me, if there is an offer, if the role is right, if the role is good, I will surely think about it. Because it’s been so long. I haven’t been acting for five or six years. Although I’m dramatic. But as far as acting is concerned, again, if there is a right role, yes, I will consider it.)

“Since I haven’t been acting, I can’t tell yet if I am ready to do something else and experiment. I have to get used to the grind first,” she said. “That is a whole other experience I have to know my reaction first if I want to do [heavy] drama or horror. I will bid on how I will experience everything first.”

“I met with Boss Vic [del Rosario]. Nand’un pa lang tayo, sa meeting. I am waiting now for the next step which is giving me the actual script. They will give you stuff (concept) first, then you will choose one you’re comfortable doing,” she said.
