LUCENA CITY — A drug suspect was killed, two others were wounded and two were arrested early Tuesday, Jan. 21, in a buy-bust operation that led to an armed encounter in Calamba City, Laguna, the police said.
Cops also seized more than P13 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) during the operation, the Police Region 4A (PRO-4A) said in a spot report.

Two other suspects, “Awen,”and “Ron,”suffered bullet wounds and were taken to the hospital for treatment, Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran, PRO-4A public information officer, told the Inquirer in a text message.

Article continues after this advertisementThe operatives confiscated from the suspects two sealed plastic bags containing shabu weighing 2,000 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P13,600,000.
The lawmen also seized another plastic bag containing “kush” or high-grade marijuana leaves. The report did not provide the value of the confiscated marijuana.
